Wedding Dates 2026 and 2027
Shubh Muhurat and Saya Dates
for Lucknow
Devuthani Ekadashi falls on 21 November 2026. From that morning the wedding season is open again, and apart from two long breaks it runs through to the middle of July 2027. Here is the whole stretch in one view: which windows are live, which dates carry muhurat, and how early each one gets booked out in this city.
When the season is open
Before you look at individual dates, look at the windows. These do not vary between panchangs.
Month by month
The dates, and what each month actually means if you are the one planning it.
November 2026
3 dates
- 19
- 20
- 25
Three dates, all inside one week. Every decent lawn in Gomti Nagar is spoken for well before this. If you are looking at these, the venue conversation needed to have happened already.
December 2026
5 dates
- 2
- 3
- 5
- 11
- 12
Five dates before Kharmas shuts the month on the 16th. Lucknow weather is at its best here, which is exactly why the competition for it is worst.
January 2027
5 dates
- 14
- 15
- 18
- 24
- 31
The season restarts on Makar Sankranti. The 14th and 15th sit right on the festival, so band, ghodi and catering staff are stretched thin across the city those two days.
February 2027
8 dates
- 2
- 10
- 11
- 15
- 16
- 22
- 24
- 25
Eight dates and the most breathing room of the winter. If you want a good venue without paying a peak-date premium, this is the month to aim at.
March 2027
8 dates
- 1
- 2
- 3
- 4
- 9
- 10
- 11
- 14
Eight dates, then Holashtak closes it. After the 14th nothing happens anywhere until the third week of April, so March fills up fast with families who do not want to wait.
April 2027
4 dates
- 18
- 21
- 23
- 25
Season reopens. Lucknow is already touching 38 degrees by now, so evening timings, cooling and guest comfort stop being nice to have and become a line on the budget.
May 2027
9 dates
- 3
- 7
- 15
- 16
- 17
- 24
- 25
- 30
- 31
Nine dates, the most in any month. Heat management, generator load and how well the guests are looked after are what people will remember about a May wedding.
June 2027
8 dates
- 1
- 9
- 10
- 13
- 14
- 15
- 16
- 20
Eight dates. Build a covered backup into the plan from day one. Pre-monsoon showers in Lucknow do not give you any notice.
July 2027
6 dates
- 7
- 9
- 12
- 14
- 15
- 16
Six dates up to the 16th, then Devshayani Ekadashi closes the season for four months. The last date before a long gap always books first.
August to October 2027
No muhurat
Chaturmas. No Hindu wedding dates at all. This is the right stretch to actually plan: venues are empty and easy to see, vendors have time to talk properly, and November dates can be locked before anyone else moves.
November 2027
4 dates
- 22
- 23
- 24
- 29
Devuthani Ekadashi falls on 10 November and reopens the season, but the muhurat dates themselves cluster in the last week of the month.
December 2027
3 dates
- 2
- 8
- 9
Three dates before Kharmas comes round again. A short window, and the one families tend to notice last.
How far ahead to book
Twenty years of Lucknow seasons, reduced to the lead times that actually matter.
Have a date in mind?
Tell us the date and a rough guest count. We will come back with whether the venue, the crew and the equipment are actually free that day, and what a wedding that size realistically costs in Lucknow. No obligation, and no pitch if the answer is no.
Dates follow the all-India panchang published by Prokerala. Panchang traditions differ between regions and between families, and the exact muhurat time on any given date depends on the couple’s horoscope. Treat this as a planning calendar, and confirm the final date with your family pandit before the cards go to print.
