The Idea That Started It All
Tathastu Entertainment began in Lucknow in 2006, with Tarun Dhameja and a simple view of the business: an event should be run by the people who promised to run it.
At the time, and largely still today, event companies in the city worked as coordinators. They took the booking, then hired out the decor, the sound, the lighting and the staff. The client paid one company and spent the next four months dealing with six.
Tathastu built the opposite, slowly. Production was brought inside the company. Then decor. Then sound and lighting. Then hospitality. Before long, it owned its own equipment, which in this industry is rare and expensive and the entire point.
20 years on, that is the reason people call. From 150-guest receptions to weddings that take over a venue for four days, the answer to “who is actually handling this” has not changed once.

Founder and Managing Director and जन्मदाता of Tathastu Entertainment, Tarun brings over 20 years of experience in the event industry. An MBA in Marketing and Finance, he is a passionate entrepreneur who truly sleeps, eats and breathes events. Known for his big-picture thinking, he has planned and executed 1000+ grand weddings and large-scale events across Lucknow. A traveller at heart with a secret love for poetry, he continues to lead Tathastu with creativity, passion and perseverance.
Rishita Srivastava
Director of Events and Digital Media
Rishita, the youngest member of the top-level management and the 2nd Pillar of Tathastu, is undoubtedly one of the most energetic forces behind the company. She is known in the industry for her creativity and relentless zeal for new ideas. With a cinephile’s eye and a deep passion for visual storytelling, she brings a unique perspective to every event she creates. Her effective communication and natural ability to connect with people make her a favorite among clients. She seamlessly blends her film background with event planning to create meaningful, immersive, and impactful experiences. Her warm, people-focused nature allows her to build genuine bonds with families, making them feel as though she is truly a part of their family. It comes as no surprise that she is often the one who receives the maximum mentions and appreciation from clients.
Anoop Saxena
Production Manager
Anoop brings 16+ years of experience and has flawlessly executed 1000+ shows. Known as a true powerhouse when it comes to production, he is deeply involved in every stage of execution, from planning and technical coordination to on-ground management. His ability to handle pressure, manage teams, and keep operations running seamlessly makes him the 3rd pillar of Tathastu. Beyond the production floor, he is also an amazing cook, bringing the same attention to detail and passion to everything he does.
